I just bought the bike last Fri. Here's what I know. The bike sat for ten years (only 4400 miles) before previous owner took the project on. He went through almost everything, tons of new parts. He bought a set of carbs off ebay, cuz he didn't want to mess with the gummed up ones on the bike. They were off a drag bike, I guess. Also have a Factory Pro Jet kit, may not be all there, or right for the bike, came with the carbs off ebay. I took the bike to my new bike mech. but he just guessed on jetting since he rides a Honda 900RR. He wanted to make it at least ridable for me for the weekend. It seems weak off idle, but smells riich, and flutters in the mid, even with the needles in the kit. He put the 155 jets in for the high, just to make sure it wouldn't lean out for the weekend. Mpg is only 20 ish, so somethings way wrong, plus no power off idle. It chokes like it's out of fuel, but the rich smell of the idle seems weird. I don't wanna waste too much of his time, or mine, I just wanna ride. So, who would I call that could tell me aprox. jetting, then fine tune from there? Any advice is welcome advice. Once again, Yoshi FULL exhaust, and K&N clamp on pods.
