Talking Carrier

I have a '92 Suzuki Intruder 1400 (535 lbs.) I would like to carry it on a the rear of my Envoy on the factory hitch. Is there a good carrier available and is it recommended?

Is that dry or wet weight. I thought they weighed more.
That is a lot of weight to hang out there.

i've seen a hauler that just straps the front wheel in and pulls the rest on the rear. I don't know if I would do it but it's an option.

What makes you say that?

You mean like the bike racks that are supported completely by the hitch? No way. The twisting forces would tear it right off the truck. Those bike racks are sketchy, IMO, and they only carry a few dozen pounds.

That's the weight I have been told, I have not weighed it. I can get a carrier for about $400.00 that holds up to 600lbs. but it seems like a lot. Was wondering if any one had a similar situation.

Thanks, I had my doubts. I have wondered if my bike would still be back there when I arrive.

Just get a U-haul flat trailer and some tension bucke straps, and strap the bike down, it should cost you about $25 a day, plus deposit, and about $15-$20 for the straps, which you can use later on.
