|  gsx-r1100 needle
I'm running a 89 1100 with aftermarker filter and exhaust. I plan to advance the ignition a little in the future and dial the cams in. I also run 95 octane fuel. I've got the carbies not bad but I suspect the needles are wrong. (Jets 35, 127.5, standard 5E60 needlet on bottom clip. I tried second bottom and they both seam OK, so I went for the slightly richer to be safe.) What are the options on these 36mm carbies? I've herd there is a "race" needle which is longer and has a longer tapper. Does anyone know of these? (maybe in reference to the gsf1200 bandit) What do I ask for? Generally parts for these OEM carbs are not available aftermarket, but do any of the needles from the other aftermarket Mikunis fit? I'm not really interested in a kit as I've got it pretty right at the moment. No real flat spots, just the nagging fealling I don't have enough middle range grunt. |
