|  Chain maintenance
I cleaned my chain this weekend. I doubt very much they cleaned or even lube it when I went for first service... I bought a gallon of kerosene (following my owner's manual directive) and a small 5/8 inch paint brush. Wow, what a difference. I cleaned it up the best I can and dried it off with shop towels and then used Maxima Chain Wax to lube it up. Tried to cleanup the rear sprocket as best as I could as well. Should I have rinsed the chain with soap and/or water before putting on the chain wax? Also, what's the safest way to get rid of the soiled kerosene? |
