I managed to track down and fit an identical carby to mine and guess what? The motor still breaks down at high RPM and under load. The spark plug is the recommended heat range. After removing the engine side cover and inspecting the timing components (non adjustable) everything seemed to be in order. I am still running this bike without the battery (it was flat and will not charge) Can anyone tell me if a battery is necessary for the engine to run correctly? Does it act like a voltage regulator or something? I would hate to buy a new battery unnecessarily. Help me Obi -Wan-Kenobie Cheers, Boonga |
