I would like to install some trick signal lights after I chop my tail fender. 93 Katana Ideally I would like to use some sort of electro-magnetic set up, where I turn on the light and they swing out from under the passenger seat. The lights would be invisible when not in use. With electromagnetic there are minimal moving parts and less headache for possible future maintenance. Or I was thinking I could use a couple hobby motors instead. The difficulty is having the motors wind out, then stop while the lights continue to flash, and then wind the lights back in after the signal lights are shut off. The wiring for the lights is not an issue. I was also thinking about creating a similar system for the license plate bracket......you know......for *ahem".... show...... Anybody have any ideas? I am trying to stay away from straight mechanical. just a preference I have heard of someone using an old motorized antenna from a vehicle, and linking that to his plate to swing it up and down.
