Ok recently I had to take my 1982 Suzuki ds 80 carb ans install it into my 1998 ds 80. It started first crank last night then died at idle. Then I choked it, and it started after 3 or 4 kicks. Rode around block and killed it. This morning I tried to start it and it started pouring gas out. I took the carb apart and I could see light through every hole in the carb and jets. (I soaked the carb in berrymans solvent for 4 days before the other night when I started it first crank) every time i turn the fuel on it pours gas from the carb. the needle valve does not stick that can move freely. i did soak it for 4 days it looks brand new now.... I'm using the stock throttle cable off of my 1998 ds80 the 1982 ds80 has a 90 degree angle to it. Could this be the problem? Should I take the throttle off the 1982 and put it on the 1998? I don't feel like this could be the problem but what do I know. I hope some one can shine some light on the subject. Thanks for reading. |
