Default 01 suzuki volusia, running bad in cold weather, did some mods, think i need to rejet

basically i debaffled my pipes, ran good till it got cold out and i think the condensed cold air leaned it out too much, it would sputter when giving it a little throttle but ran fine with a good amount of throttle. my k&n air filter came in the next day, i put that in and lost all of my top end torque and had sputtering at low end torque. when the weather was warm it ran great.

im pretty sure i have to re jet because the bike is running lean, does that sound about right???? too much air and not enough gas making it sputter and loss of torque. i have a feeling that is the problem after taking to some people i know explaining how the cold can lean the bike out .

since i have to rejet i figured i would go the full mile and order a real set of pipes and a dynojet jet kit. both should be in next week some time. any one happen to have any good detailed directions on re jetting a 800cc 01 suzuki intruder volusia. looks quite easy but the directions i have don't exactly show the best way to remove the carb from the bike and all that..

i know exactly how to set the new needle and the mixture screw and to take the old jet out and put the new one in. just not clear on getting the carb off the bike and taken apart. my old bike you did not need to remove the carb from the bike to do this kind of work to it. it was easily acessable

better safe than sorry and try to find some good directions.
