|  V-Star 650 Driveline Vibration?
Newbe here.... I picked up a 99 V-Star classic last summer off CL...killer deal...<9K miles...not a scratch...(except now for the imploded gas tank...another subject) I have a strange vibration I'm trying to chase down....it's not the engine...there is no relationship between engine RPM and the vibration....it feels more like a growl and only happens at lower speeds...typically while slowing down and below 25 MPH....and I can't detect a connection betwen brakes and the 'growl'. Below a certain speed...no issue. I first noticed it a few months ago but only seemed to happen on slow speed turns.... I just had new tires put on and now I feel it going straight.... It feels like a bearing is going out on the drive shaft.....but I have less then 11K miles on the bike now and I find it hard to believe that it already has mechanical issues (besides the imploded gas tank). Suggestions? And yes, I did use the search function.... |
