|  Cigarette Lighter Installation
I'm looking to install a cigarette lighter I'm buying from Walmart tonight (or attempting to anyway). If you've read some of my prior posts, then you know that I should probably enlist some help before I attempt this, but I want to do it myself. I've never done any wiring before, so is there anything I need to do or not do? I'm assuming this should be wired directly to the battery with some sort of inline fuse. Is this accurate? I know what an inline fuse is, but I don't know how to add one to the line. Is it as easy as buying the part and crimping the wires together? What size fuse? Should I be connecting the wires someplace other then the battery? Even though I want to do this myself, I will find someone who knows what their doing if you people tell me not to attempt this. I don't want to FUBAR my bike, but I hate being so worthless when it comes to repairs or mods. |
