I bought a throttle lock this evening and tried to put it on when I got home. I'm mechanically inept (almost to an extreme), but I didn't think a throttle lock would be that difficult, so I gave it a shot. It seems like it would fit, but the problem is that the rubber comes off while trying to slide over the rubber grip of the stock throttle. After messing around with it for quite a while to no avail, I gave up without getting past step 1. In the process of this, I took the end weight off of the right side in the hopes that I would be able to make it work somehow (I was desperate - don't ask why I thought it would help). Now I can't get the end weight back on! It seems like the long screw just can't reach whatever it is that it's suppose to screw into. ![]() I haven't a clue what happened, much less how to fix it! I'm asking (or begging) that someone in the Twin Cities area be willing to come over and put the end weight back on my bike. If you're able to make the throttle lock work, then all the better! At the very least, get the bike back to normal so I can ride it! I'm offering to buy you supper and the beverage of your choice to take home (case of beer, bottle of booze, case of pop, whatever). It's a 2008 C50T with stock handlebars/grips HELP! |
