I understand it sounds like marbles rattling in a can...but is this something I should be able to clearly hear over loud pipes and wind? I think I heard it on my bike...(i tried 87 octane for a little bit) to me it sounded like jingle bells and it happened during load at around 3-4k rpm. It was about 85* F I figure it must be loud for me to even hear it over the pipes and wind. Anyone experience pinging before with aftermarket(loud) pipes? I'll go up to 89 and see how that feels. I commuted to work 20 miles this morning with no "pinging" at all after bumping up my cobra fi settings to what it says should be stock settings. But this morning was only 57*F. I guess I'll see this afternoon. I know the manual says 90 minimum but from my understanding those fuel controllers should be able to dial out any lean condition and run 87. |
