|  vz800 won't start, very random...
I bought a 2001 Suzuki Marauder a few months ago, my first bike ever. It was allgood for 900 miles and cranked up whenever needed. On a ride one day I stopped and filled up. When I came out if the store it wouldnt start at all, just cranking but no go. I thought it may be flooded, I took off what I thought was the aircleaner but it was just some tube and plumbing. After waiting an hour, fiddling with the petcock, choke and opening the gas cap it finally cranked and I went home fine. Since then on any day of the week it may or may not crank no matter what the outside temp. If it cranks it runs flawlessly. Uusally if I turn it off and wait it won't start anew. Obviously it's cramping my riding. I have drained the tank and refilled new gas with some Seafoam fuel cleaner but no changes. It cranked up yesterday and I rode down the hwy. I came home waited 10 minutes and it would nt restart. It wouldnt start today. I was able to find the rear airfilter and there is some gas in the housing. The battery is putting out consitent 12.9v. I am new to bikes but handy around internal combustion. Does anyone have any helpful advice? RG |
