|  'cocked' diaphragm springs
I had a problem with my B12 running very rough at idle...sounded like one or more cylinders not firing.I assumed it was the pilot circuit/s because the fault cleared at higher rpms. So I decide to pull the carbs and set everything to spec and and also check out the floats...heights etc. I found three of the four slides would not rise easilly and figured the spring was cocked inside the cap. The manual says to carefully install the caps and push up the slides to make sure this does not happen. At the present time my carbs are still off and I will not be able to see if this has exaserbated the rought idle but I suspect it would.....so if you take the caps off make sure you do as the book states.  |
