Default Intermittant FI Failure

Over the past couple of months, I've had some weird issues occurring with my Fuel Injection. I'll stop to get gas, or go have something to eat. I'll turn the key and the FI light will flash along with the LED saying FI. Bike will crank but won't start. If I turn the key off and then on again, everything works as it should.

I thought maybe the injectors might be dirty or clogged the first time and ran some FI cleaner through it. When it did it a second time I started gettting a little more concerned and now that it did it this morning again, I'm really getting paranoid. I'm thinking it could be a loose connection but would like any other suggestions on things to check. I'm riding about 150 miles on Thursday and really wouldn't like it if I got stuck in the middle of nowhere (lot of nowhere in Arizona lol)
