Installed the clear lenses and colored bulbs to the turn signals a few days ago. Want to change out the brake lens and bulb as well to match. However, here in the great state of Texas, our license plates need to be illuminated by a white light by law. This was accomplished by the factory taillight (red lens/white bulb) with a clear cut out on the top of the lens. Plate being above taillight. If I swap it out, violating the law. My luck, I will get stopped. Without having to buy a new plate setup incorporating the light, what are my other options? I tried to look for something simple, a light I could install and hook into the electrical system in the rear, but came up with nothing. Would I also have to be cautious on overloading anything if I add another bulb?
