|  Disturbing lack of power at low RPM.
On my 1981 GS250T. Yes yes, it's a 250, so it's not going to be a race bike. However, I was coming back from a 45 mile ride, and when I got on the homestretch, It suddenly had a distinct lack of power, like it had lost 250 cc's or something. I had to keep it at about 1/3 throttle at stops just to keep it from stalling, and even then it was barely revving over idle at that throttle level. In order to accelerate at all, I had to have it at WOT in first and second gear, but oddly once I got it up above about 4k rpm (which was darn difficult), it performed just fine. It seemed to clear up when I finally turned onto my street, though.. I'm wondering what it might be? |
