I have just been on the Maximum Suzuki board re the TPS adjustment and found many have adjusted theirs to a great advantage. Apparantly the Clymer manual does not point out that the sensor can and should be adjusted. Also the TPS is set from the factory and should be reset at the first service at the dealer...many were not. Adjustment is stated as follows. Using a multi meter set at 1K resistance...mine is set at 20K which also works fine...measure the resistance between the two outer connector pins. This reading should be between 3.5K and 6.5K. Now measure the resistance between the middle pin and the top pin. This resistance should be 76% of the first reading. If not loosen the TPS and rotate it untill the resistance is 76%. I intend to do mine and take it for a test run. Will repost results |
