I have a 2001 1200 with about 45,000 miles. When the motor is cold I have a vibration coming through as you rev the motor up and down. At about 2000 rpm on the down rev it is like a loose gear around the alternator area. Once the motor is hot it is not there. We have been having very cold ( for LA ) mornings around the 40's but it also happens in the afternoon in the 60's. I assume that once the oil is hot then it goes away. It just started on its own and I can't think of anything that could have caused this. Oil level is correct and the pressure light goes out as soon as it is started. I looked at the starter components and everything looks okay there. I removed the alternator and nothing was obviously wrong in there. Any help would be appreciated. Happy 2009. |
