I have a 2008 V-Star Silverado Classic 1100 that has quit running twice now within the first 500 miles. The first time, we hauled it in to the dealer service department and their "fix" was to hook up DC to the fuel pump and blow air through it. The technician said they suspected a blockage, possibly cosmolene. I brought it home and took it for a ride a week later, putting 12.9 miles on it before it quit again. This time, the difference was that just before quitting, the throttle stuck at about half-throttle (while going around an intersection corner. No fun. Luckily, I decided to turn around and take it back home, but not before it just quit running, at about 2 miles from home. It's going back into the shop today, but I just don't trust it now. Anyone else had this problem?
