Default Carbs, Virago

Hi! I have a 96 1100 Virago. It had slip on pipes( Cobras ) They were bluing bad,so I put a set of factory pipes on. It didn't seem to run right. Plugs showed front cylinder running lean and rear a little lean.
Rebuilt carbs, main jet were backward, corrected that and got advice from local shop on float level and pilot jet. Now the rear is lean and the front is rich. The engine seems to labor from 2 to 4000 rpm and there is a loud exhaust in the header pipe.
If any one has any suggestion, I could use some HELP!
Booker

Sounds like a jetting issue, also make sure there are no exhaust leaks. If the pipes were changed to a straight through and the carbs were not jetting. This will defiantely be a problem.

Bill
Thank for the advice. Done some more looking about pilot jet and balancing carb. Going to give that a try.
