so, servicing my nighthawk, i've become unable to identify this part or its function... i don't have a picture of mine specifically, but i do have a picture of a bike - http://www.theautolog.com/uploads/ca...thawk)-562.jpg look behind the engine, right under the carbs, for that fist-sized cylinder with vertical oval-shaped grooves in it. what the hell is this? its bolted to the frame in two places, has a drain output, tank vent (drain?) tube, a connection to the carburetor, and some other tube that snaked under my seat and isn't connected to anything. can anyone please tell me what this is? equally perplexing about it is that its barely on any other nighthawk 450s - when i google image search, there's maybe only two with this out of a plethora without it. i can't find any info online, any help appreciated... noah |
