Default Crankcase Cover for 97 Suzuki VS800GL

Well, I finally managed to both drop my bike and break a bone - my collarbone to be exact. Turn your head too far to look right in a u-turn - the bike goes where you're looking, 5MPH into a curb. When I fell, the right peg and/or brake was pushed into the crankcase cover and cracked it. So now, 4 months later, my busted collarbone's almost strong enough to let me get back on, so I need to fix the bike.

Seems simple - take off the old cover, change the oil and filter, replace the cover. Are there any surprises in store when I do this apparently straightforward repair? Anything unexpected gonna fall out?

Oh, and does anyone happen to know the torque specs for the bolts on the cover?

Thanks!
