Default Only 600 Mi. and the Clutch Fluid is Brown?

Just got my new '08 Bandit 2 weeks ago. I am @ 550 mi and the clutch fluid is brown. Why is this. I am going to take it in for it's 600 service but I am concerned that the clutch may give out on me.
Any answers on the reason for this? No visible leaks so how is it getting contaminated?
Thanks for your help,
Chris

This is fairly normal. Your clutch fluid is not contaminated, it is just turning dark from use- the fluid turns dark more quickly in the clutch than in the brakes, probably because we use the clutch more and it gets more heat from the lines running inside the engine. Cheap OEM fluid turns dark more quickly than better quality fluid, so next time you change it use Castrol SRF or a similar high-temp racing fluid.
