Exclamation 85 Suzuki GSE- oil leak

I just had my bike serviced, and one of the things they did was a valve adjustment, but once I got it back I notice that there was a leak around the seal around the upper part of the engine. Seems to be around the plugs. Is this the valve cover gasket? If so, should I take it back and just have them re-do the gasket? or tighten the top? any suggestions? thanks

I had a similar thing with my valve cover (although admittedly it's a lot smaller than yours!). It may just need tightening or the seal may be pinched underneath. When I took the cover off I found it was the same old worn seal with a load of gasket cement wodged round it. I bought a new seal for a couple of quid and did it myself, although if it's their fault and you can get it done for free you might as well. If you do it yourself be aware that they say you should change the oil when you expose the engine innards in case any 'foreign bodies' manage to float in on the breeze. When I changed my oil there were many foreign bodies which would have found it hard to get airborne even on the gustiest of days...

Whatever is leaking, they caused it and THEY should fix it.
Depending on exactly what the problem is, tightening might make it worse.
