| The second smaller hose goes to a nipple that provides vacuum for the fuel valve to work. Look carefully....use a small torch just like CSI... to pick the nipple. Good luck

In this part of the world, "torch" means something that is ON FIRE.......which is not good around gasoline. ![]() Translate that to "flashlight" and then we're cool!

| Yes. My first idea is that if you are going to ask for advice, you should PAY ATTENTION when somebody gives you some. "The second smaller hose goes to a nipple that provides vacuum for the fuel valve to work. Look carefully....use a small torch just like CSI... to pick the nipple." Except for the regional reference to "torch", this is good advice. Why are you ignoring it? OK, so maybe a more detailed explanation is in order. First, does the petcock have a PRIme setting? If so, put it there and see if it solves the problem. If it does, then you either have no vacume in the line from carb to petcock OR the vacume mechanism in the petcock is shot. If you need help testing the vacume line, I'm sure somebody can provide that.

| Other thing could be a vacuum in the tank...when it sputters to a standstill open the tank cap and see if that helps...run with low fuel level so it doesn't slop out when cornering. Good luck
