Fourth gear and illegal

It must be leaking for the gas to get in there and in my experience this sort of leak will only get worse. Once you have fixed the float/needle/valve issue you will have to fix the leaking petcock or the whole thing will eventually return.

I think we covered that about 15 messages ago.

The bowls are fairly small and there is enough gas in the TUBE below the shut-off to flood it.

Or at least that's the operating theory at the moment.

The bowls are fairly small and there is enough gas in the TUBE below the shut-off to flood it.



this is what im gonna go with because the petcock is definitly not leaking. the line is about 1/4'' in diameter and about 6 inches long...almost enough fuel to fill the bowl...i just need this valve and seat to come in soon..this sucks running the bike out and waiting for the carb to fill back up every time i ride it. i dont know how some people do it like that. i dont know about any one else but i like to get on the thing a go.
