|  1983 Suzuki GS450E - Need Advise
Hello, I just bought a 1983 GS450e. It does not want to start and when it does the engine races up and hangs at 4000 rpms. Opening and closing the choke does nothiung. I had the carbs completely gone through by a tech and am convinced it's not them. It seems like there is adequate compression, but no gas is being pulled out of the carbs. Also, there is a little oil coming out of the top of the block through a cap above the drivers side piston. The bike has 10,000 miles. Could my valves not be seated properly? Could it be a bad ring? Timing issue? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks! |
