If I think a coil may be bad, and the coil has three wires attached to it: 1 spark plug wire and 2 other wires going to the ignition unit, can i check the resistance in the coil that i think may be bad, and compare it to the coil which i know is good? problem: 2 cylinder engine only 1 cylinder running. the other has no spark, and on the coil there is a solid white wire and an orange wire with a white stripe on it, and they both go to the ignition unit. One wire has 12volt and the other only has about 1volt. On the other coil, they both have 12volts. tell me what you think.
