Default Handlebar switch

Ok so the Bandits pass/full beam flash switch gave up and I decided to pull it apart and take a look see. The switch was just a little reluctant...due to a speck of crud I suppose... and I fixed it. The problem is when I pulled the switch housing off I inadvertantly undid the clamp plate that holds the choke spring/plunger thingy...(technical phrase) in.

This fell out and I picked it up. Now I am not sure if there should be a ball bearing at the end of the spring to run in the groove of the choke lever. This device is to prevent the choke cable pulling back under the return spring tension...sort of like a simple friction device so the choke stays on until you push the lever into the off position. I am of the opinion that it should and said ball bearing is in the grass of the front yard...read not able to be found.

Anybody pull the switches apart recently????

Cheers

Steve
