| What do you use to track your maintenance schedule? I've been using Google Calendar since February for all my vehicles. Easy to use, lots of versatility, and I can access it from anywhere. Typical example: for monthly maintenance on my wife's Vulcan 500 Description: __ Lubricate chain __ Check chain tension __ Check brake fluid level type: DOT4 __ Check coolant level type: Peak Long Life 8mm wrench __ Check battery fluid level. Charge if fluid added. I have this scheduled to repeat on the first Saturday of every month. When that Saturday comes around, I highlight the detail text and print it, then when I do the maintenance I just check off each item as I do it, then throw the paper away when complete. I don't use it as a record, however, of what has been done, just as a scheduler. I only record the major items in a notebook, such as tire changes, oil changes, repairs, etc. |

| I do my oil changes by mileage - but I add that to my weekly Google Calendar maintenance checks - I put in the mileage of the last oil/filter change, etc. When it's about due, then I know to buy the oil and filter soon.

| I do pretty much everything by mileage. I lube and adjust the chain every 250, clean and lube/adjust every 500. I do the oil/filter every 2500, and I do the air filter every 10,000 (or so). I check the valves every 5-10 depending on how far along the bike is in its life. I pretty much do everything by mileage, but a planner might be a better reminder of service intervals. Sometimes I forget.
