What do you use to track your maintenance schedule? I've been using Google Calendar since February for all my vehicles. Easy to use, lots of versatility, and I can access it from anywhere. Typical example: for monthly maintenance on my wife's Vulcan 500 Description: __ Lubricate chain __ Check chain tension __ Check brake fluid level type: DOT4 __ Check coolant level type: Peak Long Life 8mm wrench __ Check battery fluid level. Charge if fluid added. I have this scheduled to repeat on the first Saturday of every month. When that Saturday comes around, I highlight the detail text and print it, then when I do the maintenance I just check off each item as I do it, then throw the paper away when complete. I don't use it as a record, however, of what has been done, just as a scheduler. I only record the major items in a notebook, such as tire changes, oil changes, repairs, etc. |
