Hi, I have recently enrolled in an air brushing course and this has got me wanting to re-spray my Cb250N. Seemings I am going to be pulling the tank etc off to do this, I thought I might give it a go at rebuilding the motor.. Problem is, other than knowing how to check a spark plug, tyre pressure, battery fluid level and putting fuel in the bike. I have no idea what to do. Im sure i can pull it apart, but im not sure on what i need to do once it is apart. The cam chain is new so no probs there. Exhaust is new as well My bike generally runs good. A little hard to start at times as it does not have the butterflies in the choke, so i dont have a choke at the moment. So I will need to fix that? I am told it is easy, but without knowing what to do once its apart there would be no point starting. I would only stand there scratching my head. Or am i best leaving the motor as is. As it does not blow any smoke and runs well even after a long period of not being started. If it is the case of leaving it alone, how would i go about rechroming the motor. Any advise would be muchly appreciate I am also keen on pulling down my sons kx60 as its due to be done and want to learn to do it myself Regards Annette |
