Default 87 FZ700 Mid to Full Throttle PROBLEM HELP!

I have an 87 Yamaha FZ700. It runs great down low. Mid to full throttle the bike studders. If I back off the throttle a little it takes off, but not like it should. The guy who owned the bike b4 me put way oversized jets in (20 sizes too big for stock) becuz the bike was starving for fuel at about 5000 rpms+. He gave it to me with the oversized jets in and the bike was still starving at 5grand. I changed the fuel pump and the starving stopped but the bike was running way too rich(obviously) so I changed the jets. I put in a size above stock since I have an aftermarket exhaust(Yoshimura).Stock jet sizes for the bike are 100 (carb-1,4) and 105 (carb-2,3). I'm at 102.5 in carbs 1,4 and 107.5 in 2,3. All air+fuel lines are kink free. The carbs are clean as a whistle, new fuel filter(inline) cleaned the tank filter, new spark plugs. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

What kind of air filter, and in what condition?
With the new pipes, you many need to get more air IN.

Cracked or loose boots to one or more of the carbs also comes to mind.
