|  2001 VZ800 Marauder Jet Kit Issues
I had a mechanic install a Stage 1 Jet Kit today on my 2001 Marauder, with the rear baffles, not front baffles, taken out. The bike runs great when the throttle is pretty open, but the exhaust starts popping loudly at high rpms. Also, when starting from a stop in 1st gear, the bike shudders, I assume because the throttle isn't open enough. The mechanic set the carb to "straight pipe" settings because he assumed both front and rear baffles were out. So, I'm going to pull the front baffles. I was wondering if anyone else has a carbed Marauder with a Stage 1 Jet kit and what you did (K & N filter, etc.) to get it to run right. Thanks. |
