Default Chain lube frequency

Guys how often do you lube your chain....I have just got some Hondalube and have lubed it three times now.

The chain seems to be fairly good...plenty of adjustment left and the sprockets appear in good condition but it still tends to be noisy ( clackety clickety as it goes over the sprockets) when spinning the rear wheel by hand. The adjustment is equal both sides so it isn't caused by mis-alignment. Nor is it too tight...maybe I am being too picky but my vintage BSA never made that noise when doing the same thing. So the only thing I can think is insufficient lube. Plus a hot dry climate...although we are now going into winter and me and the Bandit got soaked yesterday so lots of rain. I normaly do not ride in the rain....and before you all start.... yeah so what!!!!! why get wet when you don't need to!

Cheers.
