Default Need to adjust handgrips, how do I do it?

I was told I could adjust the handgrips on my Suzuki because the handspan is so wide it's making my hands cramp (I have small hands).

Have any of you done it, or know how to do it?

Thanks in advance,
R

Do you mean how far the grips are apart" Or the distance the levers are from the grips? Or the actual size of the grips?

I mean the distance between the handle and the grip. The way it is right now, my fingers can barely grab the clutch and the brake, and I can only ride about 2-3 blocks before my hands cramp up

ETA: the lever and the grip.

Ok on mine I have a knob than I can turn to set the distance. Maybe if no one responds to this you could post some pics of the lever top and bottom. that might help.

The Gs500 may not have adjustable levers. I reckon they can be bought, though.
