Default location of valves in GZ250

Hi all

I would higly appreciate if someone can tell me where I can find the valves in my GZ250 (year 2005) and how can i clean and adjust them (adjusting valve space or something.

Otherwise the bike is okay just want to do the routine cheak up and cleaning of valves. Is it okay to add some carb cleaner in the gas tank and what type?

Thanks

Under the valve covers?

You should probably get yourself a manual and read up on the procedure. Being so new to mechanics, you don't want to wing it with a job like that. There's usually no cleaning involved, since you're not really adjusting the valves, but the rocker arm to valve stem lash. If you have carbon buildup in the combustion chambers leading to detonation, that's another issue.

How many miles do you have on your GZ250? If you have never done this type of adjustment you may want to take it to a shop because if not done right a lot damage can be done.

You have to learn some time. Are you suggesting he first try it on someone else's bike?

Not suggesting that at all, if he is unsure of his ability to do the job he may want to have it done. I have almost 14,000 miles on mine and have done the adjustment a few times with no problems, if he lived near me I would do it for him

Cool

Don't mean to quibble Red but the valves are actually in the head
