Default Yamaha 920 cc Virago mechanical info

Greetings to all,
I guess that I'm the new guy on the block and would like to say "Hi" to all, and now my question.
Someone gave me a 1982 920cc Yamaha Virago, it is not a basket case it's pretty much all together, however the timing chain is reportly broken, I haven't checked anything, been waiting for the title before tearing into it, and also have a service manual on order.
My background is very mechanical, worked for 9 years as a Honda mechanic, some time ago, I have had a bike like this before, it had a scalded cam and cam followers on the front cylinder, I replaced them without pulling the engine, can I replace the cam chain without pulling the engine, cause I just might give it back if pulling the engine is required, not the strong, young bull that I used to be, and is it possible to get parts for this bike.
many thanks,
Frank aka crazyhorse357

Thanks Robert,
I take it that you can't answer my question, but thanks for the " Welcome " anyway.
