I'm not sure if the 'cold' weather has had anything to do with it, but soon after it started to get into the chilly season, I noticed a few squeaks coming from the bike. The first comes from the brake lever. I took off the pivot bolt and greased it.. problem NOT resolved. Another squeak is coming from the throttle. I can only hear it at times ONLY when the bike is running [and stationary, of course]. When I roll the throttle slowly, it sounds like it may be coming from under the tank. I oiled the throttle send/return cables.. problem NOT resolved. The last squeak is coming from the front wheel. The squeak slows as the bike slows, so that leads me to believe that it is coming from the front axle. Does that axle need to be greased? .. or what?
My second issue is the fact that occasionally [one out of every 25 times or so], I turn on the ignition and hear a funny sound.. not the "initiating" sound that I normally get from the bike as it is getting ready for startup. It's a variation of that sound, and "FI" appears on the panel. Per the manual, it's a fuel injection issue. The only mod to the fuel injection system is the Power Commander III, and I have never had previous problems with it. Any ideas? I think I'll e-mail Dynojet just in case.
Thanks for any replies to my verbose issues.
