hey, bought an 86 gsxr with an 88 motor in it. I didn't realize they changed the wiring for the signal generator to the ignitor module. The 86 has 4 wires from the signal gen., while the 88 has only 2. I need to know if anyone has a pinout diagram or can look at their 88 gsxr and tell me what color the wires are to the ignitor module (4 pin connector on the left with extra space-2 top, from left to right, then 2 bottom, from left to right)(then the same info for the right side 4 pin connector) the wiring diagram for both models only shows the wires flat, not which wires goes to what pin. Or if anyone has ever made this swap (in motors-86 to 8
if the signal gen. for an 86 model will fit in an 88 motor. I would love to get this thing running, but a lack of good info is killing me. i have the 86 service manual, and the 88 wiring diagram, but neither say what each pinout designation is. Please help!!
