|  Bike not run for 2 years, what should I do?
I just purchased a 2000 Kaw W650 that was not winterized before it was stored in a barn and hasn't been started in 2 years. I can't pick up the bike until next week and trying to figure what work should be done before I try to start it. This is what I have in mind to start with: 1) Change oil & filter 2) Drain gas and install fresh gas 3) Charge battery. What about any fuels left in the carbs for that amount of time? After step 1 - 3 should I just try and start the bike and run some carb cleaner through it? If yes, what recommendation Should I do anything else? Bob Stil is |
