Can anyone fill me in on the amount of labor involved in replacing the stator and regulator/rectifier on an '03 GSXR 6? I purchased the bike used and the aftermarket stator is bad to the point where it began shorting out the contacts on the connector. It was recommended to me by a local shop to replace the regulator along with the stator because the two seem to go bad simultaneously. Is this true? Right now I'm looking at about $350 in parts + labor. I would like to save some a little money by doing the work myself. I posted this request for help in the Gixxer Mixer.
