I recently purchased a 2005 dl1000, which has 1100 miles on it. When purchased, with 95 miles, I noticed a little noise as slow speeds. Now the noise increases to a max at 3,000. Initially, I thought it was a knock, but now feel the noise may be coming out of the air box. Surely someone else must have experienced this unwanted noise.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

whaT kind of noise is it? is it ticking or knocking? does the sound go away after slow speeds if so what mph? does it go away after 3k rpm or does the motor noise just cover it up?
