I'm new here and haven't rode in a long time until recently when I purchased my 06 Suzuki C50T... and have a few questions if someone wouldn't mind answering.... I noticed that that I can hear gear noises while riding... and wasn't sure if that was normal. It's kind of hard to describe, but it is something that I would call "gear noise" and an increased "whining" as I continue to accelerate. Not sure if this is common on all bikes or now. About 10 years ago I had an 81 Yamaha 650 Maxim and noticed it as well...but never gave it much thought before. Now that I have a newer and more expensive bike, it has caused a bit of concer. The other question I had was about changing the exhaust. From what I read, it would appear that I would have to either purchase a power module whenever pipes are changed. Is this absolutely necessary? My bike is FI...and if I don't purchase a power module...would it hurt the engine? Thanks for you time. Pete |
