| Hi everyone, new guy here! Need some help, I have got my TS185 running again and am ready to get it on the road but am having a turn signal problem that is stumping me. All the other lights work fine. after I first put the signals back on the bike they were not working, I traced it to a bad relay, not a new on from Suzuki it looked different but it said this was the replacement for the orginal one. has the same specs on the unit. Now I am getting power to the signals BUT they are dim and will not flash but I can hear the relay tring to flash it wil go click, lights come on, but won't flash. I have checked voltages and all seems OK. Now the question. This is a 6 volt system the manual calls for 6V 21 CP (candle power I guess), 8 Watt, the bulbs I have are 17 Watt. will this cause my problem? The lights do seem dim when both are installed but when one is removed the other goes nice and bright but still does not flash. Any ideas????? Thanks Tom |

| I'd try some smaller wattage bulbs. If your bike calls for 8....the higher need could simply mean the signals aren't getting all the power they need (except by reving it apparently). Unless your battery is just old and needs replaced anyway, I wouldn't worry about it until I tried the bulb change.
