| Putting the stock seat back on should lower it to 34.8 inches. I know the newer Dr650s have an option for a lower seat height, made at the dealer by changing the rear suspention travel from 10.2 inches to 8.7 inches, thus lowering the seat hight from 34.8 to 33 inches. Call your dealer and see if that modification can be done do your year also.

| DrBob, in my experience Corbin seats are lower than stock due to their contoured shapes. Could be wrong in this case. There have been many threads discussing how to lower a bike. Spend some time reading to get the options. Welcome, and please use more descriptive thread titles. Thanks.

If his measurements are correct, and the seat height is now 36 inches, and the stock height is a touch below 35 inches...The Corbin seat appears to have a touch more padding.. As a street-legal dirtbike with a single rear shock, there is a low seat height option, a no-cost (if you buy the bike new) dealer-installed kit to lower the back of the bike 2 inches. I believe it is just a different bracket for either the rear shock or the link system. As he bought the bike used, the change would not be free, but it would still be cheap and easy, and the 'correct' way to lower the bike while retaining it's off road abilities..
