2003 Suzuki Intruder, battery problem - Motorcycle-Journal Forums

i have a suzuki intruder year 2003

my bike wasnt starting because the battery was not working, so i charged it, it worked, but i turned off my bike for 10 minutes, tried to start it and i had to charge it again,this battery is brand new,what may be the problem?

Welcome to the forum!
Did you just recently buy the battery?
Are the connectors clean?

The only thing that I can think of right away is that either you got a dead battery, or you have some kind of wireing short that may be draining to power.

it was bought a month ago, started fine, didnt ride the bike for a week,now it doesnt want to start unless charged, connectors are clean

I would take the battery back and have it load tested. If that is good, look at the charging system on your bike. If the charging system is good, look for something that would be drawing voltage while it is off. My bet is on the battery or charging system.
