Unhappy '95 1400 Intruder Hydro Clutch issue

I cannot get any pressure on my clutch. I have order and replaced all moving parts in the master cylinder, pumped and pumped con change. Pumped up from slave cylinder so there is no air in the system.

I dismantaled the slave cylindar checked everything and installed and still no pressure.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Frustrated but willing!

Two possible problems:

1) Did you bench bleed the master cylinder before putting it back on? If not, crack the nut where the line goes into the master cylinder as you pull in the lever, and you will let the trapped air out. Tighten the nut before releasing the lever. Repeat at least 2-3 times. This air is impossible to get out by conventional bleeding.

2) Are your clutch plates sticking? This would cause a lack of pressure at the lever also. This is not uncommon on the 1400 if the bike has been sitting. Put the bike in third or fourth gear and rock it back and forth repeatedly to free up the clutch plates and make them release.

I will be attempting both of these tonight.
Thanks DR. BOB.

Default clutch bleeding

Had the same problem with conventional bleeding and purchased a $30-40 system that pulls the fluid from the bottom. Worked great. Got it at Fleet
Farm, but most NAPA type stores should have them.
