Default De-baffleing the S40

Hello, I am an new member here so I'm not sure if I am in the correct forum for this question, but here goes....

My girl recently bought a Suzuki S40 (thumper) for her first motorcycle. The stock exhaust sounds WEAK! (almost moped like) Both she and I would like her motorcycle to sound more like....well, a motorcycle. Both for her pleasure riding it and safety reasons (being heard in traffic). It is bad enough that the bike is so small.

I have done numerous searches of the entire forum to no avail regarding the removal of the S40, Savage, baffles. On the other hand I have found plenty of info on the larger Boulevards.

My question is, does anyone have information on the removal of exhaust baffles from a Savage/S40? If this were to be done, would it aggrivate the backfiring problem? If we end up doing this, I'll be sure to post pics, sound clips if I figure out how.

Zuki-dude, where are you?
