Default 20,000 mile inspection/tune up

I am wanting to know if there is anything that should be done at 20,000 miles of riding or what the big number is where the bike should be completely checked over. I am thinking about having the head inspected and making sure the timing is correct as well as valve clearance and anything else that would entail a thorough inspection. Any thoughts?
